Celestia

Yesterday,

You soared across the rivers

Of the strangest dreams you have,

To scry the farthest reach

Of the materials you were made,

And upon that dawn you saw

The strangest man who ever lived;

Now,

You know how horizons meet

And how to break the dawn,

You know where the dusk keeps

The strings to that naked moon,

You saw how the stars contest

The brightest one you know,

And you saw how small you were

But still the largest you ever knew;

Tomorrow,

You shall find

How verses failed to sew a tear

In the paper sleeve you wore,

How time has stopped for everything

But slowed you down some more,

And above all things that you shall know

You shall know the query

For an answer,

Who it is, what must be,

When the last promised cry shall be,

Of your broken heart.
